Crystalens IOLs
Crystalens is a brand name of a type of intraocular lens (IOL) or artificial eye lens. These are known as accommodative IOLs because they accommodate your eye when it focuses on objects at varying distances.
These have only one focal point, but they act as if they are multifocal. The reason is that they have a hinge which mimics the mechanics of your natural lens. When your eye focuses with the artificial accommodative lens in it, it focuses by using your eye's muscles to shift the lens by using the hinge to bring things into focus from various distances. If you have this type of IOL implanted, you reduce or eliminate your need to depend on corrective contacts or glasses.

"My vision is actually
better than 20 20"
"It was like a miracle - when I left Dr. Davidorf's office the day of my surgery, I could see right away. When I woke up the next morning I could see the alarm clock. While travelling with my band in Tokyo I spotted a McDonald's sign from a mile away. Our tour manager was very impressed. My vision is actually better than 20 20."
